Cornell Wireless

Wireless network access/restrictions:

Once connected to the wireless network all standard resources such as email, networked applications, and Internet browsing are available. The WirelessGuest network does not have access to most network resources. Please check back here periodically to see updated information regarding the wireless network.

Connecting to CornellGuest With Windows XP

  1. Check to make sure your wireless card is on.
    • Your wireless card must be on to connect to the wireless network. Most computers have an indicator light for the wireless card.
    • Some computers have a button or combination of buttons to turn on your wireless.
  2. Once your wireless is on right click the wireless network connection in your system tray at the bottom right and choose view available wireless networks.
  3. You should see CornellGuest on your list.
  4. Double click the CornellGuest Network in the list
  5. You will get a message telling you that CornellGuest is an unsecured wireless network. Click Connect Anyway
  6. After a few seconds you should be connected to the WirelessGuest network
