Cole Public Library is excited to promote a new program in the Mount Vernon community: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL). Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is an award-winning program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. It is available to children under the age of 5 that live within the 52314 (Mount Vernon) or 52253 (Lisbon) zip codes. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in the child’s name directly to their home. Eight to ten weeks after registering for the program, books will begin to arrive at your home and will continue until your child turns five or you move out of the covered area. Participation in the Imagination Library is completely free – there is no cost or obligation to your family.
You can register your child for the Imagination Library online here or by picking up a form at Cole Library or Lisbon Library. For more information on the program, visit the Friends of Lisbon Library website here.
The program is managed by the group The Friends of Lisbon Library and generously supported by The Friends of Lisbon Library and local organizations and businesses.
