Checking Out

You can check out up to 3 titles. The lending period is between 7-14 days depending on the title.

Your cart will hold up to 4 titles at a time. Titles are removed from your cart after 30 minutes so that other users can have the chance to check them out.

Returning & Renewing

Some titles can be returned before they expire. Titles cannot be renewed, but you can check them out again after they expire if they are still available.

Because this resource is shared with other Iowa libraries, books are often checked out.  You can place a hold on a checked out item to be notified when it becomes available.  Up to 10 titles can be placed on hold at one time. We’ll send you an email when a title becomes available. You have 3 days to check out your hold after we email you notice that it is available.

You can cancel a hold by following these steps…

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the My Waiting List link.
  3. Click a title’s Remove link to cancel the hold.

You can change the email address that you entered when you placed a hold as follows…

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the My Waiting List link.
  3. Click a title’s Edit link.
  4. Enter the new email address in the ‘Email address’ and ‘Confirm Email address’ fields.
  5. Click Submit to update the email address for the selected title.
